Toledo Ohio Newborn Twins Photography session
How sweet are these boy/girl twins??? I am obsessed!
These two newborn twins were just the sweetest for their newborn session! I don’t get newborn twins in the studio very often but I absolutely love it when I do.
When photographing multiples, I do hire a trained assistant to help me. It is very important to me that this person knows how to properly handle newborns. Plus, it is sooo nice having an extra set of hands! I definitely could not do it on my own - twins are no joke!
They spent a little bit of time in the NICU before they came in for their newborn photo session at my Toledo Ohio photography studio. Therefore, they were a little bit older than a typical baby for their newborn session. It didn’t seem to matter though, they rocked it! Mom & dad were amazing to watch handling these two. I had so much fun coordinating props and sets.

I just loved this sweet newborn baby girls maternity session with her mama and daddy! In case you missed it, you can view those photos HERE. Miss Isla is the perfect mix of both of her parents! I’m secretly hoping she ends up with mama’s gorgeous red hair
She decided she didn’t really feel like sleeping for part of her newborn session, so I just rolled with it! These awake shots are actually super difficult to get but she nailed it! I love her sweet wide eyed expression so much.
Isla was born near Christmas time so we definitely wanted to incorporate that for holiday cards. I love throwing in themed setups like this!
Newborn sessions are held in my Sylvania Ohio home studio when baby is between 5-21 days old. This is when they are in that sleepy, curled up, milk drunk phase…it goes by so fast! In order to ensure a spot in my schedule, I recommend booking your newborn session while still in the 2nd trimester. Since the actual arrival of your baby is usually unpredictable, I will hold space on my calendar for around the time of your due date. Once your baby is born, we will then set a date/time for the session to take place.
Upon booking, you will be sent a Prep Guide that is filled with everything you need to know to prepare for your session; such as what to expect, what to wear, what to bring, the studio address, and more! You will also be sent a questionnaire so I can get to know your likes, dislikes, what you hope to get out of your session, etc - I love styling each session to your personal preferences! If you aren’t really sure what you want, I am more than happy to take complete creative control!
When you arrive to your newborn session, I will have all of the setups, props & accessories set and ready to go (keeping all of your preferences in mind!). I will go through each setup/prop with you to make sure you are in love with everything - if there’s anything you want to swap out or change, that is totally fine!
If we are doing family photos, we will start with those first. Then baby is the star of the show for the rest of the session! I typically begin with all prop poses in my buckets, bowls, beds, etc. Then I will move onto all of the super sweet wrapped & unwrapped poses on the fabric backdrops. You can expect to be at the studio for about 2-3 hours for a full newborn session. I am never in rush and always make sure to follow the cues of your baby. It takes a lot of patience to get that perfect shot!

I recently photographed this sweet girls newborn sister! I figured I better blog big sisters newborn session before I get to little sister! Getting to photograph each new addition in my clients families is THE. BEST. Seriously, getting to watch these families grow is just the most amazing feeling.

Newborn sessions are scheduled to take place when your baby is around 5-21 days old - that sleepy, curled up phase goes by so fast! My home-studio is located in Sylvania, Ohio and is filled with everything needed for your session. Props such as buckets, bowls, crates, beds, as well as accessories like headbands, flower crowns, hats/bonnets & wraps are all provided for you!

Ann Arbor Michigan Maternity Photographer
I think this is definitely up there as one my all-time favorite maternity sessions!
I had so much fun with this expecting mom and dad at their Ann Arbor maternity photography session…and the maternity gown & suit combo were PERFECTION! We had a variety of different lighting conditions for this session, so it’s fun to see how different light effects the final outcome of the photo. I really love shooting maternity sessions at golden hour on sunny, cloud-free days! It just creates my favorite warm, glowy light that can’t be replicated on overcast/cloudy days. You can definitely tell that the cloudy images have more of a moody feel to them and the sunny images have that amazing glow.
Due to limited availability, I recommend scheduling maternity sessions at least 1-2 months in advance. These sessions are best done around 27-35 weeks, when your baby bump is visibly showing - we want to show it off! Maternity sessions can take place at one of my favorite outdoor locations in the Toledo Ohio area -OR- at my home studio located in Sylvania. My studio is white, bright & airy and works great for those chilly winters!

It was such an honor to be given the opportunity to photograph this special and very much loved baby girl! I also photographed big brother (and his mama when he was in her belly!). Miss Emersyn is a rainbow baby and I love that we incorporated that into her newborn photography session! This family has been with me for quite a while and I love getting to see them year after year!
Mama loves Cinderella (and even had that as her wedding theme!), so we definitely had to bring that into the session! She brought a princess crown and a Cinderella tutu - too cute! We also tried a little milk bath photo session and that totally put me out of my comfort zone…but it was sooooo fun! I would definitely love to do more milk baths in the future, so don’t hesitate to reach out if this is something you would like.

I provide absolutely everything needed for your session, including hats & bonnets, headbands, flower crowns, wraps, buckets, bowls, props, etc. I am always adding new items to my client closet - all you have to do is show up and I will take care of the rest for you!
I have over 10 years experience working exclusively with newborns and am trained in safety & proper posing techniques.. I know it can be very difficult choosing the right newborn photographer! You can rest assured that I have the training & experience needed and your baby will always be in safe hands while at my studio.

Watching my itty bitty newborn clients grow into chubby little balls of happiness has to be one of the coolest parts of my job! It means the absolute world to me when clients keep coming back - I absolutely love capturing your babies as they grow!
This session was Grow With Me session - these sessions are offered as a perk to my newborn clients only! It’s a short & sweet mini session that can be booked at any time. It’s perfect for documenting all of those milestones your baby goes through, such as tummy time (3-4 months), sitting up (usually around 5-7 months), crawling (usually around 7-10 months), etc. Such a fun little bonus for my newborn clients!
I also offer Milestone Baby sessions for babies 6 months-14 months, which is a full session that includes multiple outfits and plenty of time to get some updated family poses (if desired). We can even end the session with a cake smash or a splash in the tub! As part of your baby session experience with Sweet Bloom Photography, clients gain access to my client closet. I can provide outfits, headbands, flower crowns, hats, and all of the cute little props! All you have to do is show up and I can take care of the rest for you!

Can you believe this mama is carrying twins?!? She looked absolutely amazing and was literally glowing!
We had a gorgeous sunset maternity session in Toledo Ohio and even included their pup - who has been promoted to big sister status! It’s always a gamble whether dogs will cooperate for pictures…but when they do, it is the absolutely cutest! She wasn’t too sure what to think of me and I think she was more interested in running the park but she was a good girl for pictures.
Maternity sessions are typically scheduled to take place around 27-35 weeks. Any time is fine as long as you are comfortable and that baby bump is visibly showing - we want to show it off for your photos! We will focus a lot of the shots on the mama-to-be, however, I absolutely welcome dad/the family to join in, too! I know that this is an exciting time for everyone! My studio is white, bright & airy and works great for those super cold months!

I also offer a “Bump to Baby” package that includes a maternity session + newborn session - this is a super popular baby plan and you will save money by booking both sessions at once!
