To say I have been busy the last few weeks would be the understatement of the century! In case you haven’t been following along on IG stories, I have moved in a new photography studio space located in Sylvania Ohio - YAY! I’m also in the midst of busy season, designing sets for Toledo Ohio Christmas Mini Sessions (those will be announced this week!), and trying to play catch up on editing a million galleries. I estimate I will sleep again some time in December!

I am working on this baby girls 1st birthday photoshoot and there’s just noooo way I couldn’t share these beautiful photos! We photographed these on their family Flower Farm, Apollo’s Basket. It is the most GORGEOUS location in the NW Ohio area - perfect for family photos!

I also had the pleasure of photographing this sweet girls newborn session at my Sylvania Ohio photography studio! She was a gorgeous newborn and she’s now an even more stunning baby girl! Having the opportunity to watch these families grow is one of the absolute best things about being a newborn photographer in Toledo Ohio! I just love photographing them year after year after year…gives me all the warm and fuzzies!

The great thing about being a newborn client is that it “grandfathers” you into being a forever client — what does this mean? Well, I don’t advertise sessions for little ones past their 1st birthday, however, I make a special exception for my newborn clients. If you are a past newborn client, I am happy to photograph them for their birthday milestones year and after!

This baby boy was the happiest little guy for his 1st birthday photoshoot at my Toledo Ohio Baby Photography Studio! Just look at that big smile and the adorable clapping! 1st birthday photography sessions are so much fun - and what a great way to celebrate making it through 1 year with your baby!

So, what’s included with a 1st birthday baby photo session? The main focus of these sessions is your little one, however, I love to also incorporate the family into a few photos as well! Typically, we will start the session with some photos of your baby with mom/dad/brothers/sisters - this really helps your little one get more comfortable with me and to see this is all fun (“stranger danger” can really start to be a thing at 1 year!). I will photograph your family interacting, hugging, tickling and of course get some nice smiles at the camera, too. Once the family portion is complete, your birthday baby will be the star of the show for the remainder of the session!

Most Toledo Ohio 1st birthday photoshoots will include 2 outfits. I have an ever growing client closet that is available to all of my clients - it is filled with the cutest baby boy and baby girl outfits, accessories such as hats & headbands/flower crowns, and unique props such as buckets, crates, bowls, etc. We can even end the session with a fun cake smash!

Ann Arbor Cake Smash Photography Session

I love a good before and after — before the cake smash and after the cake smash! Just so much fun!

This 1st birthday cake smash session took place in my home photography studio located in Sylvania Ohio, which is in Toledo Ohio. I always start with a couple photos of your birthday baby without the cake, then we bring out the cake and let the fun begin! One outfit/setup is included. As part of your photography session experience, all clients gain access to my client closet. It is stocked full of outfits, headbands/flower crowns, props and more! The only thing you are responsible for bringing is the cake, I will take care of the rest! I provide simple props such as a cake stand, non-helium balloons, florals & greenery, and other simple decor - if you are envisioning something a little more elaborate (such as a character theme, sport theme, etc) then you will bring your own props/decor, in that case. We will work together to create a beautiful setup!

I typically book out at least a month in advance, or even 2-3 months in advance during busier times of the year. Therefore, I do suggest booking your session with plenty of notice. Upon booking, you will be sent a prep guide that is filled with some very helpful information to help you plan for your cake smash session and know what to expect. Leading up to your smash the cake photography session, we will discuss what you are envisioning and work together to create a beautiful setup. I love planning cake smashes!

Ann Arbor Baby Photography Studio

I got to see this gorgeous girl for her 1st birthday session - how cute is she?!

We opted for the studio at this 1 year photo session, however, baby sessions can be done outdoors as well! Mama selected this beautiful vintage inspired baby outfit from my client closet and the sweetest blush pink flower crown to go with it. All clients have access to my collection of outfits, headbands, and props!

SCHEDULE UPDATE

I am juuuust about booked up for the rest of 2022! I could squeeze in a few more last minute newborns, however, baby & maternity session availability is almost at capacity. I have 1 weekend spot left on Sun 12/18 but no other weekend availability until January - I do have a couple random weekday spots available here and there though! Toledo Ohio Baby Photographer

Another one of my newborn clients that is growing up way too fast! I could swear she was just in my Sylvania Ohio Photography Studio for her newborn session like 2 months ago! This gorgeous field was full of beautiful fall colors and I love these white wildflowers that were growing - so perfect for Fran’s 1 year photo session! I brought this mustard romper and coordinating flower headbands for her to wear and it just went perfectly! That is the plus of booking your sessions with me, you get full access to my client closet.

Also, I am LIVING for this fall weather we are having - I know it’s so short lived but I am enjoying it while it’s lasts! My family and I made our first trip to the pumpkin farm for some apple cider and donuts, that’s when you know it’s officially fall! I’m not looking forward to the cold that will be here way too soon, though.

Speaking of cold! I have the cutest lineup for Christmas Mini Sessions this year! An official announcement will be coming out THIS WEEK. I am offering 3 different options: The Santa Experience (with an absolutely incredible live Santa), Family Christmas Card Minis, and (as always) Christmas Milk & Cookies Minis. Toledo Ohio 1st Birthday Photo Session

Oh, that sister & mama love - just the sweetest!

I have been photographing this baby girl since she was in her mama’s belly! I have been lucky enough to photograph her maternity, newborn, 6 months and 1 year - you have no idea how awesome that feels to be able to do that! Watching my little baby clients grow up is the best thing, ever. I have loved getting to know her big sister, too! She wasn’t too sure what to think of me the first time she met me at her baby sisters maternity session, however, I think I grew on her a bit!

This 1st birthday photo session took place in my natural light home studio located in Sylvania, Ohio. Baby sessions include poses of your little one in 1-2 outfits, as well as an updated family photo with parents & siblings. If desired, we can end the session with a cake smash as well. Baby sessions can also be done outdoors in the Toledo Ohio area - I do have clients travel to me from all over NW Ohio and SE Michigan, such as Sylvania, Perrysburg, Ottawa Hills, Bowling Green, Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, and greater Detroit.

I have a client closet full of the cutest baby boy and baby girl outfits available to use for your little one! I also have headbands and a large collection of props, florals, greenery, etc. Just show up and I will take care of the rest! Of course, you are more than welcome to bring your own outfits, headbands, accessories, etc…but I have them if you need them! I really love planning 1st birthday sessions with my clients - it’s such an exciting time and I love having fun with it!

Toledo Ohio Baby Photography Studio - 6 Months Photo Session

I haven’t seen this handsome dude since his newborn session! He came in for his 6 month milestone session and was just the happiest little ham! This is my favorite age to photograph (aside from newborns, of course!) because they aren’t mobile yet and they just sit there and grin with those big gummy smiles.

Did you know that being a prior newborn client has a really awesome perk? If you have had a newborn session with me, you gain exclusive access to these milestone mini sessions! It’s a short & sweet session of just your little babe, perfect to capture all of those milestones (3 months, 6 months, 9 months, etc). Full Milestone Baby Sessions are open to everyone! You don’t have to be a prior newborn client to book those - It’s just the Milestone Minis that are exclusive

Milestone sessions can take place outdoors or at. my home-studio location in Sylvania Ohio. I have a prop closet available to use, full of baby boys & girls outfits, headbands, accessories, etc. You are welcome to bring your own outfit (like this mama did) or I can provide it for you - it’s totally up to you! I am always adding new outfits and accessories.

Toledo Ohio Cake Smash Photography Session

It’s been cake smash crazy over here at the studio! I am loving it though - so much fun!

Just a reminder : In order to ensure a spot in my schedule, I recommend contacting me about 2-3 months in advance. I absolutely love planning cake smashes! Your birthday babe can also end the cake smash with a splash in milk/bubble bath.

Cake smash sessions include a short & sweet session of just your birthday baby in one outfit. I will take just a couple quick photos without the cake to begin and then the real fun starts! I will then document your 1 year old baby smashing their cake - it is so fun! Some babies get REALLY into it and make a big mess, others might be a little more timid about the idea of digging into a cake. Either way, it’s such an exciting experience!

You can also add-on a “splash” at the end, where your little one can wash off all of that cake in a milk or bubble bath. The cutest!

I can provide simple balloons (no helium), greenery & florals, a cake stand or vintage high chair, as well as an outfit to wear for the photos. Please note: the client does provide their own cake. A white cake or naked is perfect - you can go over the top with a super fancy cake too! I do recommend staying away from chocolate cake and/or icing because it can look yucky in the photos.
