It hasn’t even been a week yet but I am already missing my newborn snuggles so bad! This is such an uncertain time and I’m just holding onto the hope that things will return to normal soon. My in-home studio is located in Sylvania Ohio and is fully stocked with everything needed for your newborn session. All of those adorable hats & headbands, cozy wraps, custom backdrops, and vintage props are all provided for you, so there’s no need to worry about bringing anything! Let me take care of it all :)

I am in my 9th year working exclusively with newborns and have invested many hours in continuing education & safety training courses. It is always my biggest priority to keep your sweet little baby safe at all times! I’m also known for my awesome baby whispering skills :)

Newborn sessions take place between 5-21 days old, when your baby is still very sleepy & curled up. Since we don’t typically know the actual day your newborn will arrive, I hold space on my calendar for around the time of your date. Once your baby has been born, we will then schedule a date & time for our session.

I offer 3 different types of newborn sessions & all sessions include your beautifully retouched digital images to download. I also offer Baby Plan Bundles, which document anywhere from the time your are expecting to your little one’s first birthday.

My in-home photography studio is located in Sylvania Ohio and I offer photography services for the greater Northwest Ohio, Toledo Ohio, and Southeast Michigan areas including Sylvania, Perrysburg, Ottawa Hills, Maumee, Bowling Green, Findlay, Ann Arbor, Detroit, Tecumseh, Rossford, and Canton. As part of your newborn session experience with Sweet Bloom Photography, all clients gain full access to my always growing prop & accessory inventory. All of those sweet little hats & headbands, cozy wraps, rustic buckets, vintage bowls, and custom backdrops have all been thought of for you in advance. All you have to do is show up and I will take care of the rest for you!

Newborn sessions take place between 5-21 days of age when your sweet little baby is still in that curled up, sleepy stage - it goes by so quickly! Since the actual arrival of your newborn is usually pretty unpredictable, I hold space on my calendar for around the time of your date. Then, once your baby has made their arrival, we will schedule a date & time for photos.

Due to limited availability, I do recommend booking your newborn session while you are still in your 2nd trimester. A limited number of sessions are accepted each month, so it’s important to book sooner rather than later!

After a lot of careful thought & consideration, I have decided to close up shop for at least the rest of March. This decision was not an easy one to make but I feel this is the responsible thing to do. I work very closely with these tiny little humans and it is my responsibility to ensure that they are kept safe.

I have ALWAYS washed & sanitized my hands at the start of every session and then cleaned & sanitized the studio afterward (including laundering and/or steaming anything a baby has touched). I also have a sick policy that allows clients to reschedule their session at no cost due to illness. If you or anyone in your family is feverish, coughing, sneezing, has a runny nose, etc, I am more than happy to reschedule! Going forward, I will also be implementing extra measures including requiring all clients to wash or sanitize their hands and removing shoes upon entering the studio.

During this time, I want to urge you to please, please, please continue to support small business! Purchase gift cards for the future, order curbside carryout, leave good reviews, recommend to your friends, show them love on social media. Don’t forget about us small businesses!

I wanted to take a moment to remind everyone to please, please, please reschedule your session if you or anyone in your family is sick, has a cough, fever, runny nose, etc. I am more than happy to reschedule your session due to an illness! I am in very close contact with newborns on a regular basis, so it is extremely important to keep the studio a germ-free space.

The studio is cleaned & disinfected after every session and every wrap, backdrop, etc that is used during a session is washed and sanitized. It is very important to me that the studio is kept clean!

Have I mentioned how much I love these sitter milestone sessions? 6 months is just SUCH a fun age for photos! McKinley is the absolute cutest, as you can see!

Since it’s still pretty chilly here in Northwest Ohio, most baby sessions are still taking place in the studio. However, once it warms up, I definitely love to get outside for sessions too! We offer baby sessions for the greater Toledo and NW Ohio areas, such as Sylvania, Perrysburg, Ottawa Hills, Maumee, Holland, Bowling Green, Findlay, as well as Ann Arbor Mi and Detroit. Baby sessions are typically scheduled around 6 months old, when your baby can sit up unassisted, and also at around 12 months, for their 1st birthday. Baby sessions mainly focus on your little one, however, I love to incorporate a couple family poses into the session too!

Matthew came in for his newborn session at my Sylvania Ohio photography studio at 10 days old - 5-21 days is the best time to schedule newborn sessions so that I am able to capture that very short-lived dreamy & squishy time. It goes by so fast and you will never get this special time back! I absolutely love being able to document that for you.

My studio is stocked with everything needed for your session. I provide all of the swaddle wraps, fuzzy little hats, adorable headbands, as well as all of the vintage buckets, rustic bowls, etc. I have professional lighting & equipment and have been trained in newborn posing safety. I take safety very seriously and make sure your newborn is within arms reach at all times. During the newborn session, parents can lounge on our comfy couch, enjoy the provided snacks & drinks or even use the wifi! My hope for you is to be able sit, back, relax and just watch the magic happen :)

Then once your baby has made their arrival, we will schedule a date/time for your session to take place. Upon booking, you will be sent a detailed prep guide that is filled with lots of helpful information so that you will feel prepared. You will also receive a questionnaire to complete so that I can get a feel your personal preferences. I mean…who doesn’t love a baby in a bucket?

This session is bringing back all the spring vibes and I’m here for it! It’s been a little bit of a struggle getting used to the much colder NW Ohio winter. I figured if I keep posting more spring images, maybe it will decide to come early :) I can’t wait to see the pretty spring blooms & tulips again!

Baby sessions can take place either in our Sylvania home studio or outdoors in the Toledo area. I have outfits, hats, headbands, props, etc available to use with all sessions. You don’t have to worry about finding an outfit for your baby to wear, I can take care of that for you! Baby sessions focus on your sweet little one, however, I am happy to incorporate a couple updated family photos as well. I love capturing that special bond :)

I recommend scheduling baby milestone sessions at about 5-9 months, when your baby can sit up unassisted, and then 1 year to celebrate their first birthday. If desired, I am happy to include a cake smash as part of your 1 year birthday photo session.
