To say I have been busy the last few weeks would be the understatement of the century! In case you haven’t been following along on IG stories, I have moved in a new photography studio space located in Sylvania Ohio - YAY! I’m also in the midst of busy season, designing sets for Toledo Ohio Christmas Mini Sessions (those will be announced this week!), and trying to play catch up on editing a million galleries. I estimate I will sleep again some time in December!

I am working on this baby girls 1st birthday photoshoot and there’s just noooo way I couldn’t share these beautiful photos! We photographed these on their family Flower Farm, Apollo’s Basket. It is the most GORGEOUS location in the NW Ohio area - perfect for family photos!

I also had the pleasure of photographing this sweet girls newborn session at my Sylvania Ohio photography studio! She was a gorgeous newborn and she’s now an even more stunning baby girl! Having the opportunity to watch these families grow is one of the absolute best things about being a newborn photographer in Toledo Ohio! I just love photographing them year after year after year…gives me all the warm and fuzzies!

The great thing about being a newborn client is that it “grandfathers” you into being a forever client — what does this mean? Well, I don’t advertise sessions for little ones past their 1st birthday, however, I make a special exception for my newborn clients. If you are a past newborn client, I am happy to photograph them for their birthday milestones year and after!

This baby girl has quite the story! She was born at 27 weeks, weighing 1 pound 15 ounces. She came to my Sylvania Ohio newborn photography studio when she was 15 weeks old! Most newborn photoshoots take place when baby is approximately 1-3 weeks, so her session was just amazing! What an incredible baby girl.

Bring on Christmas! My heart cannot handle this sweet baby and this adorable Christmas setup! It’s the little mug of hot chocolate for me…

It took some patience to get baby to pose juuuust right for this but I am IN LOVE with the final outcome! It was definitely worth taking the extra time. Once November hits, I just love asking my clients if they want to incorporate a Christmas photo into their session. It’s really fun to come up with something new and creative with each one! I have many different Christmas props and backdrops - hot cocoa mugs, gingerbread men, Santa hats, snowman, etc. The possibilities are endless…and ADORABLE!

This baby boy was the happiest little guy for his 1st birthday photoshoot at my Toledo Ohio Baby Photography Studio! Just look at that big smile and the adorable clapping! 1st birthday photography sessions are so much fun - and what a great way to celebrate making it through 1 year with your baby!

So, what’s included with a 1st birthday baby photo session? The main focus of these sessions is your little one, however, I love to also incorporate the family into a few photos as well! Typically, we will start the session with some photos of your baby with mom/dad/brothers/sisters - this really helps your little one get more comfortable with me and to see this is all fun (“stranger danger” can really start to be a thing at 1 year!). I will photograph your family interacting, hugging, tickling and of course get some nice smiles at the camera, too. Once the family portion is complete, your birthday baby will be the star of the show for the remainder of the session!

Most Toledo Ohio 1st birthday photoshoots will include 2 outfits. I have an ever growing client closet that is available to all of my clients - it is filled with the cutest baby boy and baby girl outfits, accessories such as hats & headbands/flower crowns, and unique props such as buckets, crates, bowls, etc. We can even end the session with a fun cake smash!
