I hope everyone has enjoyed their summer! It was pretty hectic here, which you may have noticed by the lack of sharing anything new :)

I'd like to make a little personal/business announcement...

Going forward, I will be taking sessions on a part-time basis only. This is the last year having my youngest baby home and I've come to the conclusion that I really need to be a little more "mama" and a little less "boss lady". This is something that has been weighing heavy on my heart since summer began. You all have kept me extremely busy, which is SUCH an amazing blessing!! However, I just really need to spend more time with my kids & husband...not so much behind a computer screen.

So how will this change things? Well, weekend availability for sessions is going to be very, very small and limited to only 1-2 Sunday's per month (no Saturday sessions ever) - nearly all sessions going forward will take place on weekday mornings/evenings.

Thank you so much for trusting me with your little ones! Keep bringing me those babies :)

Those sweet little hands are just too much!

I just love doing prop shots during newborn sessions! This little guy loved being wrapped and I was happy to oblige :) He naturally put his little hand on his cheek like that, so I just went with it!

All newborn sessions include posing in props/bowls/buckets/crates/etc, as well as posing on a blanket/fur. I like to see newborns in our Sylvania Ohio photography studio when they are between 7-21 days old. Your baby needs to be in that super sleepy, bendy state in order to pose them :) That time goes by so fast!

Newborn sessions take place when your baby is between 7-21 days old in our Sylvania Ohio in-home photography studio. We have everything needed for the newborn session including props, headbands & tiebacks, hats & bonnets, wraps & swaddles, vintage buckets & boxes, etc.

It is recommended to book your newborn session while still in the 2nd trimester - We only accept a limited number of due dates per month, so the earlier the better! We always do our best to accommodate last minute bookings :)

Is there anything cuter than a baby boy in suspenders??

Baby sessions can take place in our photography studio located in Sylvania Ohio -or- outdoors at a park, prairie, etc. We have wardrobe options available for both boys & girls and lots of props! I recommend scheduling around your baby milestones, which is usually around 6-8 months (when your little one is sitting independently) and then at 1 year for their birthday. We also offer cake smashes :)

Well, hello there! It has been a long while!

May was an insanely busy month - so much so that there was no time to post anything. Sorry to leave this poor blog, facebook, & instagram hanging like that!

I think I am still recovering from the craziness that was May, however, I also just returned from an amazing trip with my husband to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. We were celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary and had an absolutely amazing time! Now that I am back in the office, I am playing some major catch up on everything :)

I shot this BEAUTIFUL mama to be right before we left for vacation. I cannot get over this light! I feel like I really do not shoot enough maternity sessions...this makes me want to create more time for them!

I also wanted to take a moment to also say that I will only be working part time this summer. My schedule is super limited and nearly full already, which I am so thankful for! My kids are only little for such a short time, so I am really trying to cherish this time with them and spend as much time as possible just being a mommy :)

Happy Froggy Friday!

This is definitely, by far, the most requested pose that I get from my clients during their newborn sessions :) It's called the "froggy pose" and it is actually a composite that I create in Photoshop. I take 2 photos of the baby (1 picture holding the wrists + 1 picture holding the head) and then I merge those 2 images in Photoshop and end we end up with this adorable shot!

This pose should never, ever be attempted by anyone that has not been trained to do it safely! It takes practice, patience, and knowledge in newborn photography to be able to do this - BUT, when done correctly & safely, it is definitely adorable :)

Newborn sessions take place in our in-home studio located in Sylvania Ohio. Since the actual arrival of your baby is usually unpredictable, we hold space on the calendar for around the time of your due date. Then, once your baby has made its arrival, we will schedule your session to take place between 7-21 days old.

I have over 7 years of experience working with newborns and have photographed hundreds & counting! I am trained in safely handling newborns :)

I can't tell you how excited I was to be able to get outdoors for this session! We a gorgeous spring day and a gorgeous little girl to work with :)

I love photographing baby milestone sessions! After the newborn stage, the best milestones to book your next baby photography sessions are at 6-8 months (when your baby can sit independently - my favorite!), 8-10 months (when your baby begins crawling), and then their 1st birthday, of course!

My studio is overflowing with tons of props that all clients have access to - I have wardrobe options for baby girls & baby boys, as well as hats, bonnets, headbands, and tiebacks. You can bring your own cute outfit or you can just let us take care of all the outfits & accessories :)

Our schedule is already filling up for this Spring & Summer! April is completely booked, there is 1 spot available in May, 2 spots available in June, and a few spots still left for July. Miss Alexis came to see me for her newborn session at our Sylvania Ohio Photography studio when she was almost 3 weeks old :) I like to photograph newborns between 7-21 days, so she came to see much just in time! The studio is stocked full of props, headbands, wraps, hats, etc. We have everything needed from start to finish!
