Congratulations on the upcoming arrival of your newest family member! Welcoming a new baby into your family is one of the most exciting and sometimes nerve-wracking times of your life. You can rest assured that I have over 12 years experience working with newborns and have taken countless hours of continuing education courses from some of the most well known and respected educators in the photography industry. I take this job very seriously and have been properly trained to handle & pose your little one - Your baby is always in safe while at my studio!

Newborn sessions take place in my bright & airy natural light home-studio located in Sylvania Ohio on weekday mornings at 10:30am. Newborn sessions are held 5-21 days after your baby is born. That sweet, sleepy stage goes by so fast! All sessions are stylized with complete access to my ever-growing collection of unique & vintage props, the cutest hats & headbands, cozy wraps, a rainbow of backdrop color options, etc. All you have to do is show up and I can take care of the rest!

All sessions are flat rate, meaning you don’t have to choose your favorites or make any further purchases. Your beautifully edited images are delivered to you via a private online gallery, where you can download your high-resolution files with a print release. A variety of custom photo products such as handmade wood photo blocks, heirloom memory boxes, fine art photo albums, and much more are also available to purchase directly from your private online gallery, if desired.

Because I only accept a limited number of due dates each month, I suggest booking your newborn session while still in the 2nd trimester. Since the actual arrival of your baby is typically unknown, I will hold space on my calendar for around the time of baby’s due date. Once your little one has made their arrival, we will then schedule a date/time for your session.

This is the perfect little mini session for those that only want a few simple images of just baby! Two setups are included and all poses are done wrapped/swaddled. You will select one backdrop posing fabric color of your choice + one prop, such as a bucket/crate/bed/etc
- Short & sweet in-studio session of your new baby only, lasting approximately 1 hour - just enough time for some simple, wrapped poses
- All props, hats, headbands, wraps & accessories provided
- Prep Guide filled with tips & helpful info
- An online gallery of beautifully retouched high-resolution images to download with a print release
Perfect for those looking for a newborn session that has more of a relaxed/lifestyle feel! Includes simple poses of your new baby (wrapped and/or in an outfit - no unwrapped poses), as well as family poses with parents & siblings on our bright & airy white studio bed setup.

FAQs

The earlier the better! In order to ensure a spot in my schedule, I recommend booking while you are still in your 2nd trimester. I always do my best to fit in last minute inquiries, however, I am not always able to do so.
Once your baby has made their arrival, I ask that you send me a message after you are all home & settled. We will then set a date & time for your newborn session to take place when your baby is between 5-21 days old. This is when they are still in that sweet, sleepy, curled up, milk drunk phase - it goes by in the blink of an eye!
Due to my weekends being filled well in advance with maternity & milestone sessions, newborn sessions are only scheduled on weekdays (Mon-Fri) at 10:30am. Please be prepared to plan accordingly.
You can expect to be at the studio for about 2-3 hours for a full newborn session. I never rush them and always make sure we take breaks for feedings & soothing as needed.
Mini newborn sessions are typically about 1 hour.
All sessions include your gallery of beautifully edited digital images to download with a print release. Sessions are all-inclusive, meaning you don’t have to choose your favorites or make any further purchases.
Full sessions typically result in anywhere from 25-90 finished images to download from your gallery. Mini sessions typically result in anywhere from 10-40 finished images to download from your gallery.
You can also purchase products such as wood photo blocks, fine art albums, heirloom memory boxes and much more directly from your gallery.
Parents and/or siblings are more than welcome to be included in the photos with all full sessions! However, mini sessions are of your baby only.
Absolutely! I have a large collection of hats, bonnets, headbands, flower crowns, wraps, buckets, bowls, beds, etc. I quite literally have a rainbow of items for you to use and I am always adding new things. All you have to do is bring in your baby and I will take care of the rest!
Definitely! However, I do ask that you please limit it to just one outside prop.
If you have multiple items that can all be used in the same photo, then that is fine! Examples would be:
-football helmet + jersey + football
- grandma’s knitted booties + bonnet + blanket
-firefighter helmet + boots + pants
My bright & airy, natural light home studio is located in Sylvania, Ohio. I have many clients travel to me from all over Ohio, Michigan and Indiana!
After you have booked your session, I will send a Prep Guide that is filled with information about what to expect, what to bring, what to wear, tips, the studio address, etc.
It can take up to 3 weeks following the day after your session to professionally hand edit & retouch each of your images. If you need your images sooner, there is a $200 rush fee to receive your gallery within 48 hours.
Yes! There is an additional $100 fee due to the need for a trained assistant that I require for all newborn twins/multiples. I definitely need an extra set of hands and it is very important to me that this person is trained to safely handle newborns.

In addition to newborns, I also photograph Baby Milestones (3 months-1 year) and Maternity. Family Mini Sessions are offered on a very limited basis - typically on a weekend in the spring + a weekend in the fall. I definitely recommend signing up for my newsletter so that you don’t miss out on Family Mini Session announcements!
Also, once you have become my newborn client, you are ALWAYS my client! While I do not advertise for “older” children sessions, I do offer them to my newborn clients only. I absolutely LOVE to photograph my newborn clients year after year!
Absolutely! Until further notice, I will be wearing a mask for all newborn sessions. As always, I will continue with regular hand washing/sanitizing and all props are washed or sanitized after every session. My hope for you is to feel comfortable knowing that I have taken many precautions to stay healthy & keep the studio germ free.
I also have a strict policy that I ask all clients to follow. I do not allow any sick parents, children or babies in my studio under any circumstances. I am always more than happy to reschedule due to illness!
